The concept behind this project is to merge the architecture of the museum with the architecture of the landscape via the application of an abstract “grid”. The grid creates a spatial condition that engages with every aspect of the design strategy: it articulates a series of alley ways that weave the design into the context, the by-product of the grid are a series of rooms that act as exhibition spaces and external courtyards, and finaly establishes a clear language between the cultural complex and the adjacent hill.
